五年級英語數位實境體驗活動

大家知道FTL嗎? 在再興小學，常常聽到這個名稱，很多人會困惑它到底是什麼? 其實FTL就是Field Trip Live 的簡稱，也就是數位實境體驗教學活動。一般戶外教學活動，英文是Field Trip，而Live則有現場直播進行的意思。再興小學擁有先進的數位教學設備，能把課室的學習透過國際教學合作與全球網路連線，往外延伸到國際戶外教學，真正帶領孩子們看世界，執行即時英語互動教學，讓學生如實探索新奇事物，和體驗意想不到的數位英語學習。
五年級這次全年級參與的Massive FTL，活動當日是個潮濕的下雨天，主持老師先請學生們思考,天上的雨水滴下來之後會流到哪裡呢? 到地底下就不見了?還是有其他可能的去處呢? 接著由在美國的老師邀請大家一起加入一場小水滴的旅行，隨著主角所遇到的各式生態環境，如池塘、湖泊、河流、海洋等等，大家一同隨境體會小水滴的悲喜心情。
這次我們安排了五位國際外師、五個探訪地點，分別做不同的海洋生態環境介紹。從美國中部的明尼蘇達州，到西北的奧瑞岡州，持續往南到加州，再越過太平洋到日本東京灣，最後到達我們熟悉的台灣。此時，孩子們才發現全世界是相通的，我們的任何作為都會影響彼此。海洋是生命的搖籃，海洋生態的維護人人都有責任，珍惜水資源是全世界共有的課題。
幾位五年級學生也分享了他們對此次FTL課程的英語心得體悟。

The FTL today was really interesting. We learned about the journey of a water drop. I noticed that water is so important for us, every person should cherish the water and should protect the oceans. Let's avoid causing pollution. - Class 502, Ninnie
From this FTL, I learned how to protect our planet and keep our oceans clean. I learned that we shouldn't throw garbage or plastic into the water. We should throw them into the trash cans. This lesson has made me more aware of the importance of our environment, and I will now pay more attention to it. - Class 502, Ann
